BONUS Introducing CHECKED: Brad Lander's Olive Harvest Post vs. What Actually Happened in the West Bank | With Joe Truzman
A bonus episode for Honest Take listeners: meet CHECKED, HonestReporting's new weekly live show. Every Wednesday, Ben Chertoff and Joe Truzman take apart the week's coverage of Israel: what got reported, what got left out, and who decided.
This is The Feed, one segment from CHECKED's first episode. Former NYC Comptroller Brad Lander goes to the West Bank olive harvest, calls it "ethnic cleansing," gets detained in a closed military zone, and posts about it from the bus. We compare his post with what the IDF actually said, and ask Matti Friedman's question: why does an olive harvest draw more cameras than entire countries?
For the full episode, including Front Page, Open Cases and Honest Mistake or On Purpose?, follow CHECKED on Apple Podcasts and Spotify: https://checked.transistor.fm/
CHECKED is live every Wednesday at 12:30 ET on YouTube, X and Instagram. Follow @HonestReporting so you catch the next one. The Honest Take continues right here in this feed, like always.
